Stephen Colbert Has The Perfect Response To Donald Trump's Sweden Comment

'Just because this attack didn’t happen, doesn’t mean that we don’t stand in solidarity with all the people who did not suffer.'
CBS

Stephen Colbert had two words for Donald Trump after the president falsely suggested a terrorist attack had happened in Sweden last week: “Never fjorget.”

The “Late Show” host mocked Trump over his latest stumble, a moment folks on Twitter were quick to pounce on. Colbert replayed a clip of Trump suggesting that something tragic happened in Sweden the night before the president held a rally in Florida.

“You look at what’s happening in Germany,” Trump said. “You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden. Sweden! Who would believe this? Sweden!”

“No one,” Colbert said. “No one would believe that. Well, not no one, but maybe someone who skips their intelligence briefings.”
