Synchronised Swimming Sea Lions Show Off At Stunning Rottnest Island

Oh hey there!

When Wade Harrison checked his phone this morning, he was surprise to see that one of his Instagram pics had 'blown up' overnight.

It's not surprising that the internet is loving his gorgeous photo of sea lions playing at Eagle Bay on Rottnest Island, Western Australia. Harrison said he was swimming in the bay when the sea lions swam up to him and started waving.

"It was quite quirky behaviour to be honest," he told the Huffington Post Australia.

"They were super friendly."

The photo was taken a couple of weeks ago when Harrison, a personal chef based in the United States, returned to his home city of Perth. He was glad to get a chance to visit Rottnest Island, the small Island near Perth which is renowned as the home of quokkas.

Harrison is not a professional photographer, but he always takes his phone or camera wherever he goes to capture moments on his travels. He's glad people are loving the wildlife of his home state.

"It's great for everyone to be able to see the beauty of Western Australia," he said.
