The wait is over. Australia's next Bachelor will be Matty Johnson, the runner up and fan favourite from last year's The Bachelorette Australia.
After falling hard for Georgia Love last year only to be left without a rose, the 30-year-old Sydneysider has picked himself up and will be looking for love on the reality TV show.
"I stumbled a bit last year I'm sure you're aware, but I really do hope that this is my year and I fall in love and have a magnificent relationship with the girl of my dreams," Matty said in a video.
Matty has revealed to would-be contestants some of the qualities he is looking for in a partner: kindness, a positive attitude, a great sense of humour and adventurousness.
We can probably guess some of the dates will test the ladies' adventurous spirit, hopefully not requiring any human chocolate fondue baths.
Unfortunately casting is closed for season five of The Bachelor Australia and filming began in Sydney this week, so you'll just have to sit back and enjoy the romance.
