Charlie Hall is a walk-on benchwarmer for Northwestern’s basketball team with one heckuva fan club.

Hall’s mother, Julia Louis-Dreyfus of “Veep” and “Seinfeld” fame, beamed with pride when he entered Thursday’s Big Ten tournament game against Rutgers in the final minute or so. She fixed her phone camera on the scoreboard while husband Brad Hall stood and cheered.

Hall’s Wildcats were already beating Rutgers’ Scarlet Knights soundly. But it may as well have been the Final Four with the game on the line to Louis-Dreyfus.

Watch her react when her boy grabs a rebound.

Sweet!

Hall has played a total of 8 minutes this season, however, and has yet to score. (Sorry, Charlie.)

At least he has a sense of humor. The player showed off comedic chops like his Emmy-winning mom in a mock interview with a teammate who didn’t pass him the ball.
