The parents of a six-year-old boy have been charged with manslaughter after the young boy died in a hotel in Sydney's south in 2015.

Police alleged the 56-year-old father and 41-year-old mother attended a self-healing conference at a facility on Park Road, Hurstville between April 22 and April 28 before paramedics were called to a nearby hotel on the night of the 28th around 10PM, following reports the boy had been found in an unconscious state.

NSW Ambulance paramedics performed CPR on the boy, however he was unable to be revived and pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement released by NSW police on Wednesday.

Police attended a property in Prospect in Sydney's west on Wednesday where the parents were arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station where they were later charged.

The pair were both granted conditional bail and are expected to reappear in court in May.
