A man and woman have been charged with the murder of toddler Baden Bond, ten years after he disappeared.

The Courier Mail reports a 43-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man have been arrested and are due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.

It will be alleged Baden was murdered sometime between March 26 and May 17 in 2007, either at his home at Woodridge or another location in Queensland.

The arrests in the decade-old crime came in the wake of a plea from police for more information about Baden's disappearance, in the hope a neighbour or family member would come forward.

According to the Brisbane Times, Baden's family had allegedly told police that he was living with relatives.

Baden, who was aged 22 months at the time of his disappearance, hasn't been seen alive since March 2007 when he was living at the family home in the Logan suburb of Woodridge. His family moved to NSW later in 2007.
