Welsh Newsagent Now Offering Chocolate Orange-Filled Baguettes

'Anything that sounds just totally wrong -- that's the type of sandwich we try to make.'

Chocolate orange filled baguette anyone?

A newsagent in Wales is offering up some questionable baguettes, combining sweet and savoury elements in an attempt to fill a void in the sandwich market.

While his creations are definitely filling a gap, something tells us though that it probably should've remained empty.

Unless, of course, a chocolate orange and lettuce baguette (without butter) sounds delicious to you, then you're in luck (you'll just have to pop by Cardiff to get one).

This is now a thing in Cardiff. Yet some people claim Wales is ready for independence. pic.twitter.com/pJYdXZYgFB

Alongside chocolate orange, a baguette filled with liquorice allsorts is also on offer.

Phil, the owner of Channing's, told Wales Online that his inspiration was "anything that sounds just totally wrong -- that's the type of sandwich we try to make".

"I've been doing them for years but haven't done them for a while. I just decided a few weeks ago to do a couple of new ones.

"It's just something different."

While they've flown off the shelves, their creator conceded that "they'll never beat a ham salad".
