Fugitive 'On The Run' After Man Shot In Sydney's West

Police are searching for a fugitive wanted after a man was shot in the leg in Sydney's southwest.

The 37-year-old victim was found shot in the thigh on Friday night at Woodward Park, between Shropshire Street and Woodward Avenue, at Miller, police said.

The wounded man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim is now in a stable condition while the offender remains on the run, the Seven Network reports.

Police have set up a crime scene and forensic officers are combing it for clues.

Investigations are continuing and police want anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
