Britt Robertson Embraces Her Inner 'Nasty Gal' In 'Girlboss' Trailer

And we kind of love it.

On Monday, Netflix released the trailer for “Girlboss,” a series based on the best-selling memoir by Sophia Amoruso. The show centers around the evolution of Amoruso into a business woman, leading up to her creating and launching her company, Nasty Gal.

Netflix’s trailer is full of sass and witty one-liners as Britt Robertson puts out the fierce confidence of a young Amoruso. Her character pushes through setbacks and stands up for herself when the going gets tough.

“Go ahead, underestimate me,” Robertson declares to a shop owner. “I’ve got it all figured out.”

The story begins with Robertson’s character flipping clothes on eBay, making a hefty profit for vintage pieces picked up at thrift stores. When her eBay reviews start to tank, she has to find a new way to earn money.

“I’ll start my own site,” Robertson announces in the trailer. “Maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t, but it’ll be mine.”

Robertson embodies the qualities that women have admired about Amoruso and the #Girlboss movement. The businesswoman developed a strong following of fans who have spilled their excitement all over social media. Despite filing for bankruptcy last year, the Nasty Gal founder has become a symbol for women with big dreams. Amoruso began with book, #Girlboss, and developed a website, charitable foundation and podcast all with the themes of empowering women to work toward their own success stories.

So when “Girlboss” the series drops on April 21, you can expect a flurry of inspired tweets, Instagram posts and Facebook statuses.
