Police Use Pepper Spray To Subdue Wild Brawlers In Sydney

A man has been arrested and charged following a wild brawl involving more than 20 people in Sydney's CBD early on Sunday.

Two teenagers were also arrested.

Police were called to Pitt Street about 4am to the brawl outside a convenience store, with more than 20 men and women fighting.

Police used pepper spray to disperse the crowd, which had spilled onto the road.

Three people were arrested at the scene, with police charging a 29-year-old man from South Hurstville with affray, and resisting arrest.

He was granted bail and will front Downing Centre Local Court in May.

Two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, were arrested at the scene but were later released.

A 19-year-old woman was treated at the scene for the effects of pepper spray before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital for assessment.

Police continue to investigate.
