Mystery Over Woman's Body Found In An Adelaide Pond

The death is under investigation.

Police are investigating after the body of a 67-year-old woman was retrieved from a pond in Adelaide on Sunday evening.

Emergency services were called to the city's Veale Gardens following reports that a woman in a wheelchair had fallen into the water.

Attempts to revive the woman were unsuccessful after Police Water Operations divers recovered the body from five foot deep water.

Adelaide detectives have spoken to the woman's companion, who was at the scene, and will be conducting further investigations to determine if the death is suspicious.
