Four-Year-Old Boy Killed In Melbourne Car Park Collision

A four-year-old boy has been killed after a four wheel drive collided into three people in a car park in south-east Melbourne on Friday.

Victoria Police said in a statement that a Toyota Land Cruiser had been driving on Kangan Drive in Berwick shortly before midday before entering a medical centre car park and striking the child and two adults.

The young child died as a result of the incident and the two adults, who are not understood to be connected to the child, sustained injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are now investigating the cause of the accident which saw the car flip over in the collision.

Both Channel Seven and Melbourne radio station 3AW reported the vehicle may have been out of control at the time of the accident.
