Two men have been stabbed after a wild brawl in Sydney's west, with the violent altercation reportedly erupting between rival gangs.

Police said they were called to the fight just after 11.30pm on Saturday at Dunmore Street, Wentworthville, following reports of a brawl.

Police have been told two men, aged 20 and 22, were stabbed during the incident.

The Nine Network reports that the fight was gang related and broke out when more than 100 people were leaving a community centre, with sticks and knives used as weapons.

Both victims remain in a stable condition at Westmead hospital, police said in a statement.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident have commenced.

Anyone with any information, or who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
