We all know Andy Cohen warms his West Village apartment at night by stoking the fires of Susan Sarandon and Debra Messingâs Twitter feud, so of course he turned the temperature all the way up when the Oscar winner returned to the clubhouse.
On Mondayâs episode of âWatch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,â Sarandon stopped by to promote her new film, â3 Generations,â with Naomi Watts and confirmed that her feud with the âWill & Graceâ actress is still very much alive.
âSheâs not very well informed and so sometimes she gets in areas that she really hasnât thought through, maybe? Sheâs Trumpian a little bit like that,â Sarandon told Cohen. âSo, I donât have anything against her personally. I just, sometimes I have to say, âBut you donât have the information.ââ
Apparently, the two saw each other at ... we didnât see this one coming ... a New York Rangers game, as both are dedicated fans. But, according to Sarandon, Messing had nothing to say to her in person as she chooses to save her political opinions for online.
Their social media clash started all the way back in March of 2016, when Messing tried to drag Sarandon publicly over a controversial and misunderstood interview where the âFeudâ actress expressed a reluctance over voting for Hillary Clinton.
Sarandon, a fervent Bernie Sanders supporter, readily engaged with Messing, tweeting back that many Americans who campaigned for the Vermont senator felt conflicted over the choices.
âFor those passionate, principled independents & first-time voters who would not be voting, if it werenât for Sanders & whose interests HC doesnât represent, it is a dilemma,â Sarandon replied.
Somebody inform a casting agent to start immediately combing through the rĂ©sumĂ©s of young Hollywood redheads, because the way this thing is going âFeudâ Season 13 already has its storyline.
