'Hellboy' Reboot Might Be In The Works With A 'Game Of Thrones' Director

Hell yeah.
Columbia Pictures

Hellboy made us two promises, one, that he'd always look that good and two, that he'd never give up on us ever. Well luckily for Hellboy, it looks like we might not have to give up on him either.

According to "The Hollywood Reporter" Hellboy might find new life with Neil Marshall, the man who wrote and directed "The Descent" and several episodes of "Game of Thrones" among other things.

Marshall would be stepping into the shoes of Guillermo del Toro who wrote and directed both "Hellboy" and its sequel "HellBoy II: The Golden Army". Along with del Toro not being attached to the reboot, Ron Pearlman, who played big red, is also looking like he won't be reprising the role.

In 2015 Pearlman stirred up rumours of a possible crowdfunded campaign for a third film via his Twitter.

Anybody out there wanna see #HellboyIII as much as I do? Let's get this muthafucka trending, y'all!

Let's end the trilogy; we earned it!

— Ron Perlman (@perlmutations) June 3, 2015

A few weeks later Pearlman confirmed he was entirely sincere about wanting a third film, but ruled out crowdfunding as an option saying, "I don't think it's the fans' job to fund a movie".
