Caitlyn Jenner Confirms That She And Kim Kardashian Don't Talk

Caitlyn Jenner confirmed Thursday on Australia’s “Today” show that her relationship with Kim Kardashian is estranged.

“I love Kimberly, I think she’s a wonderful person,” Jenner said in the interview. “But, well, to be honest with you, I really haven’t talked to her in a long time. I’ve kind of let everything calm down.”

The strained relationship between her and Kardashian seems to partially stem from the release of Jenner’s new memoir, The Secrets of My Life. Jenner includes some details about her relationship with former wife Kris Jenner, which Kris called “all made up.”

“So I kind of stay, you know, I keep my distance,” she continued in her interview. “I’m out there trying to make a difference in the world. There’s a lot of drama in the Kardashian family. This is my book about my opinions on things that had happened with me and my family. Any time I express my opinion, you know, with my family, there’s always challenges in doing that.”

Kardashian said on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” this season that she felt bad for her mother. According to her, the mother of six had been putting in a lot of effort to keep a positive relationship with Caitlyn for the sake of their two daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Kardashian disagreed with putting her mother in the book.

“Caitlyn has the right to feel whatever she feels, but why bring my mom into it one more time?” she said on the show.

In the past, Caitlyn has said that Kardashian was the most supportive of her transition. She told HuffPost in April that Kardashian was was “so open-minded.” But Caitlyn says she’s the happiest she’s ever been, even with the tough relationship she has with her former stepdaughter.

“To honest with you, the easiest and happiest part of my life, is today,” Caitlyn said in the interview. “It’s just getting up and being yourself. I don’t have any more secrets.”
