Car Set On Fire Underneath Western Sydney Unit Block

A number of residents are being treated for smoke inhalation.

A large fire broke out in the underground car park of a unit block in Sydney's west after a stolen car was set alight on Saturday morning.

The fire has been extinguished, however at least 15 people have been treated for smoke inhalation, Nine News reports.

Police allege that the stolen subaru station wagon was set on fire just after 6am. As a precaution, residents in the unit block at Girraween were told to leave their units.

Inquiries are continuing.
