"My left eye has conjunctivitis", he captioned the first image.

"My left eye has conjunctivitis", he wrote again.

At the same time, he posted an even closer image of the injured eye, singling it out in case the first two images were not clear enough that his left eye does, in fact, have conjunctivitis.

"This eye has conjunctivitis", he said, clearing things up.

"You can see it better here", the 23-year-old said, adding a black and white filter to the image posted a minute after the second and third.

In a last ditch attempt to communicate the communicable disease, Bieber again posted a close-up of the single eye, again with a black and white filter over it, with a singular word caption: "Conjunctivitis".
