'Inconsolable' Ariana Grande Returns To The U.S, As Her Mother Is Hailed For Rescue Actions

The star's mother has been hailed a hero for reportedly helping fans to safety.

Ariana Grande has returned to the U.S. after a terrorist attack at her Manchester concert left 22 dead and at least 59 injured.

Dressed in black, the 23-year-old was visibly emotional as she disembarked from a plane after arriving in Florida, walking into the arms of her boyfriend, Mac Miller, who had been waiting on the tarmac for the star's arrival.

The young singer, who is said to be 'inconsolable' following the events that unfolded on Monday night, was accompanied by her mother, Joan, who is being hailed as a hero on social media for reportedly helping a group of fans to safety following the explosion.

TMZ reports that Grande's mother, who was still sitting in her front row seat at the time of the explosion, escorted as many as 10 fans backstage, telling her daughter's security to wait with them until it was safe to leave.

In the aftermath of the deadly terror attack, British authorities have raised the country's threat level to "critical" -- the highest level possible -- as military personnel are mobilised to aid police at events and landmarks across the U.K.
