Doggo Decides To Pursue Newsreader Career At The Most Inconvenient Time

To be fair, the black labrador looked pretty comfortable in front of the camera.

A cheeky black labrador chose the most inopportune time to express its interest in pursuing a career as a TV newsreader, as it wandered on set and interrupted a live Russian newscast last week.

Newsreader Ilona Linarter, from Mir24 TV, was reportedly talking about a demolition project in Moscow when the friendly pooch entered the studio and let out a few friendly barks.

"I've got a dog here. What is this dog doing in the studio?" Linarte shouts to someone off-screen.

"I actually prefer cats. Yeah, I'm a cat lady."

The news station later explained that the dog belonged to a guest from a different segment and had somehow got loose, The Dodo reports.

There's no word yet on whether the dog has scored any offers from networks but they'll surely be flowing in any day now, because if there's one thing the world needs more of, it's cute dogs on TV.
