Barnaby Joyce Steps Out Of Parliament And Into A Weather Studio, And He's Pretty Good

This might finally put the Deputy PM on the map.

He's generally found firing up in Canberra about policy, opposition backbenchers and caaaaaaaarp -- but Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce appears to have a hidden talent.

Joyce, the Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, presented the weather predictions for the country from the Bureau of Meteorology on Wednesday. And, to be fair, he was pretty good. Especially when he dismissed large portions of the country (including Coalition voters) with a flippant "who cares!".

Following Joyce's run delivering the forecast, people suggested the New England MP leave politics and become a weather man -- while others seized the moment to comment on the Coalition's climate policy.

It's global warming

There's no word yet on whether Barnaby Joyce plans a future in delivering national weather news, or whether he'll simply reserve his grave forecasts for carp.
