It's on. Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather. The mega-super-hyper-fight of the millennium and untold millennia to come. The world's best MMA fighter versus the world's best boxer.
This, people, is the equivalent of lion versus tiger. Of shark versus killer whale. Of tornado versus hurricane. Of Whopper versus Big Mac. Of Kim Kardashian versus Taylor Swift.
Oof! Bam! This thing is officially on, and will take place on August 26 at the T-mobile Arena in -- where else? -- Las Vegas.
Mayweather, 40, is widely considered to be one of the greatest boxers ever. The American's career record is 49 wins, no losses, and he is still regarded as being at the top of his game despite his age.
McGregor, 28, is an outspoken flashy Irishman with an amateur boxing background who has dominated the mixed martial arts scene with his charisma as much as his impressive 21-3 professional career record.
An example of his cheekiness? It's in the tweet below, in which he deliberately pictures Floyd Mayweather Senior (his opponent's dad, who was also a champion boxer) -- as though to say "pffft, this guy's too old, I'll take him easily".

The fight has been mooted for some months now, but no one really dared to believe, or knew what form it would take.
We now know that it will take place under boxing rules. In other words, no hybrid -- which you'd think would greatly favour Mayweather.
Sports bookies agree. They have installed Mayweather as a strong favourite but report a rush of bets for McGregor at longer odds -- an anomaly which reflects the Irish fighter's huge, optimistic fan base rather than his statistical likelihood of winning.
But McGregor has been confident all along that whatever form the fight takes, he'll be fine. Back in March he said:
"Watch me take over boxing, trust me on that. No one in this boxing game knows what's coming. Trust me on that. I'm going to step in there and shock the whole f--king world. Trust me on that," he said.
"Look me in the eyes, 28 years of age, confident as motherf--ker, long, rangy, dangerous with every hand. Trust me, I'm going to stop Floyd, and you're all going to eat your words. The whole world is going to eat their words."
The whole world is no doubt going to have a lot more words to digest from both boxers before this much-anticipated fight happens in August.
