Miley Cyrus Tells Jimmy Fallon Why She Gave Up Weed

"No one's ever died from weed, but no one's ever smoked as much as I did."

This was no tokin' appearance on "The Tonight Show" for Miley Cyrus.

The singer told host Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday that she quit weed, and confessed to being stoned during previous appearances on his show.

Cyrus explained that she stopped smoking to remain lucid so she can discuss her as-yet-released album, which she said has been a passion project.

"I wanted to make sure that I'm super clear about the way I'm talking," she said.

The former Disney star recounted a nightmare about a fatal "Saturday Night Live" monologue.

"No one's ever died from weed, but no one's ever smoked as much as I did," she said.

So here are three words we might not be hearing from Cyrus in the future:

"I was high."
