A video posted to social media showing police officers allegedly 'harassing' a homeless man in Sydney has gone viral.
The vision uploaded to Facebook this week by Keteilia Harris shows two police officers stopping the man in the CBD and accusing him of offensive behaviour and language.
"You're under arrest," the male officer says after grabbing the man and pushing him up against a fence.
"Where is the offensive behaviour?" the homeless man responds.
On her Facebook page, Harris, who witnessed the incident, accuses the officers of "harassing" the homeless man while he was collecting a free dinner.
"Before this video the police officer punched him and asked him to move away 500 meters after calling him "a homeless piece of shit" whilst the man was asking the police officer why he's being sent away. He was in the middle of eating his provided dinner," Harris writes on the page.
"This is the most disgusting thing I've ever witnessed first hand. If anyone recognises this police officer please let me know as id like to report this. I see this homeless man a lot when I'm on my way to uni and I always chat with him, he's not a bad guy at all."
Police told the Nine Network that the man had been acting offensively prior to the incident with the officers.
"The man was issued a move along direction but a short time later police had reason to speak with the man again," police told Nine.
"They will allege he was behaving in an offensive manner."
Harris' video has been viewed more than 590,000 times since being posted on Thursday.
