Prada Is Selling $244 Money Clips In The Shape Of Office Stationery

Prada money clip? $244. The ability to flash it around? Priceless.

A top fashion brand has released a paper clip-shaped money clip which retails for AUD$244 -- which makes you wonder, would you have any money leftover afterwards to actually put in the clip?

Italian brand Prada has placed this designer item on sale through Barneys New York.

At just 6cm long, it is made in Italy from sterling silver. Naturally, people had a few opinions about it.

Don't want to pony up the $244 for high fashion? Barneys sells its "own brand" version for just on $200.

Everyday items becoming haute couture is not new. Balenciaga released a $2610 tote bag that looked remarkably similar to the classic blue plastic IKEA bag -- which you can get for $1 from the checkout.
