Unfortunately for them, they didn't quite get the permission of the streaming service and according to 'DNAInfo Chicago', the folk behind the bar were so pleased with how Things were going they planned to extend the run of the bar which included cocktails like 'Eleven's Eggos' and a replica of the alphabet wall that featured in the show.
Unfortunately when Netflix caught wind of the potential extension of the bar's goings on, they sent the most adorable letter to the gang running the bar.
"My walkie talkie is busted so I had to write this note instead," it read. "I don't want you to think I'm a total wastoid, and I love how much you guys love the show. (Just wait until you see Season 2!) But unless I'm living in the Upside Down, I don't think we did a deal with you for this pop-up."
"You're obviously creative types so I'm sure you can appreciate that it's important to us to have a say in how our fans encounter the worlds we build."
You can read the full letter at 'DNAInfo', but it goes on to ask that the bar finishes up on its original end date and to also run things past the company before they plan on doing anything similar in the future.
"We love our fans more than anything," the letter concluded, "but you should know that the demogorgon is not always as forgiving. So please don't make us call your mom."
Season 2 of 'Stranger Things' hits the streaming service on October 27.
