It was a night of thrills and spills but Sophie Monk reveals she's definitely found the one, and escaping the country so the secret isn't let out!

After a truly glorious debut episode, our newest bachelorette, Sophie Monk, went on 2DayFM's Em Rusciano Show with Harley Breen to spill the beans on how she got on the show, and everything after.

In true Monk form, she explained that she had to practically force the show to take her on. Despite it being a joke during her 'Hard Chat' with Tom Gleeson, it was Monk's mum who had the idea originally.

"Mum suggested I go on before [Hard Chat], but that was just a joke, and then I sat back and went, 'I should do it'. It was a week of talking and I went to them," she told Rusciano and Breen.

"They didn't want me! We had a meeting because they wanted to know it was legit... How desperate! I begged."

Monk revealed she flew herself over to meet with Channel Ten to pitch herself as the Bachelorette.

Rusciano and Breen also wanted to know if the process had been a success, with Sophie confirming she was "fully in love".

"Fully sick in love?" Rusciano asked.

"Yep, 100 percent," Monk replied.

As with each season, there's now several months since the show was shot, meaning a delay between finding love and being able to go public with her new man.

Monk revealed she's going into hiding to prevent people finding out who she ends up with.

"I'm flying out of the country, I can't do it. I'm going to ruin it so I'm getting away from everyone. I know people are so invested in the show so, it's time I evacuate."
