Cardi B Isn't Letting Anyone Ruin Her Number One Moment

Shade alert on high.
Twitter

It was huge news on Monday when Billboard US reported that Cardi B's hit 'Bodak Yellow' had reached number one on the Hot 100 chart.

The announcement marked the first time a solo female rapper had topped the chart since 1998. 'Bodak Yellow' was also the hit that managed to bump Taylor Swift's 'Look What You Made Me Do' from the number one spot.

Since then many celebs across the music industry have congratulated the Bronx native for her massive achievement, including Swift who sent a congratulatory bouquet of flowers.

Congratulations to a fellow NEW YAWKA on a RECORD BREAKING achievement. Bardi, this is the only thing that matters!!! Enjoy it💕💞🎀 @iamcardib

She even caught the attention of social media user and rapper Azealia Banks, who posted a now deleted Twitter rant calling Cardi a "poor mans Niki [Minaj]".

Banks then hopped over to Instagram where she continued to discuss Cardi's accomplishments doubling down on the Minaj dig, but the 'Bodak Yellow' singer seemed unperturbed. Instead Cardi chose to post some serious shade in the form of a video of Banks singing along to her number one hit.

One of the reasons Bodak Yellow went #1 cuz even the HATERS LOVE IT !! pic.twitter.com/CCHUhHvN8z
