On a day when the Richmond Tigers roared louder than the Adelaide Crows crowed, some tiny voices spoke loudest of all.
For some years now, the AFL has had the delightful tradition of young Auskickers (junior AFL players) presenting the premiership medals to the winning grand final players.
Normally the kids don't say too much. Or if they do, nobody hears it but the players. But this year, extreme cuteness ensued as some of the kids offered audible words of encouragement to the jubilant Richmond players.
Watch and enjoy. And just wait'll you see the little girl give Richmond captain Trent Cotchin a great big hug.
Probably the best one was when a kid with a surprisingly deep voice and a beautiful rich Aussie accent said "congratulations, you're a legend" to Jack Riewoldt, who kicked two goals in the grand final.
Then there was the kid who told star Richmond defender Alex Rance "great game, you're a champion".
No kid, Rance is a premiership winner. The real champion is you.
