One of the most beloved movies on the internet, 'Mean Girls' celebrates its yearly day on October 3rd due to the iconic quote: "On October 3rd he asked me what day it was"
Every year on October 3rd fans of the film ask each other what day it is, and they tell each other it's October 3rd. While that's usually enough of a reason to celebrate, this year things for the people of New York were even more exciting.
Parked outside the box office of the 'Mean Girls' musical was a hot pink van where the writer and star of the movie, Tina Fey, was handing out cheese fries, the perfect addition to any all-carb diet.
Obviously the stunt was celebrating the iconic day, but also marked the first day tickets for the musical went on pre-sale, with New York previews beginning in March next year. The musical will also premiere in Washington DC on October 31.
The musical has been in the works for years, with Fey confirming it way back in 2013, and lucky fans were given a ~taste~ of what's to come.
Unfortunately not everyone was able to make it...
Still, when life gives you lemons:
While Tina Fey was handing out carbs, the other stars of the movie also celebrated the day with a twist.
Lacy Chabert, Amanda Seyfried, Jonathan Bennett and Daniel Franzese appeared in a video asking fans of the film to donate to a fund to help benefit the families of the victims of the Las Vegas shooting.
Very grool.
