Get Ready For Season Two With This Retro 'Stranger Things' Game

It's 1984 all over again baby.

It's almost time to go back to where it all started to get strange, a trip back to Hawkins, Indiana to check-in with the gang after their wild adventures in the Upside Down.

Netflix's surprise hit of last year 'Stranger Things' comes back for its highly anticipated second season on October 27, but if you can't wait that long you're in luck! There's a perfectly retro mobile game based on the series and it actually looks amazing.

None of that damn "Candy Crush but with the faces of TV characters" nonsense here, the game is completely styled like the ones the kids from the series would have played back in the '80s, complete with 16-bit opening titles and chiptune versions of the show's theme music.

You play along as your favourite characters from the game, each with their own special abilities like Police Chief Hopper who'll punch pretty much anything, Nancy and her collection of baseball bats and Lucas with his Wrist Rocket.

Sure, they had heaps of time to explore the woods but didn't have five minutes to look for Barb?!

There are quests to complete, items to collect and dungeons to explore with the promise of unlocking never-before-seen footage of the second season.

The game is out now on iOS and Android and we'll be right back we just have to go play it until the 27th.
