Watch: How To Make Wine Slushies

A childhood favourite with an adult twist.

Many Australians have fond memories of drinking slushies after school on a sweltering afternoon. Well, picture that but with an adult twist -- wine slushies made with fruit.

These simple, colourful boozy slushies are easy to make and are the perfect answer to a hot, sunny day.

To make wine slushies all you need is wine (duh), frozen fruit and a blender or food processor. Simply whizz it all up and serve in a glass or jar. You can even use a variety of frozen fruits and create layered rainbow wine slushies -- try strawberry for red, oranges for orange, mango for yellow, kiwi for green, blueberries for blue, and blackberries for purple.

White wine and rosé work best for these slushes, but play around with wines with different fruit aromas or even spirits if it's that time of day.
