October 1 officially marked the beginning of the Spooky Season and for fans of scares, slashers, thrills and demonic spills, it's the perfect month to sit back and scare yourself stupid night after night.

Thanks to screaming, ahem, streaming services like Netflix and Stan it's never been easier to binge on creature features and movies that won't stay dead.

If you're in the mood for something tense, Netflix has added 'Gerald's Game', based on the story by Stephen King about a romantic romp turned wrong. In their secluded cabin, a woman agrees to let her husband handcuff her to their bed. That's when things go terribly wrong. Trapped, she must remain sane enough to escape, but haunted by visions of the past -- and figures looming at the end of the bed -- this game may be her last. It's incredibly tense, and isn't for the faint of heart, with some pretty dark themes and one incredibly gruesome scene that'll stay with you for days after.

If you're looking for something a little lighter, 'The Babysitter' tells the classic tale of what it's like to be a nerdy kid growing up with a super hot babysitter who wants to steal your blood for a satanic ritual! We've all been there! Surprisingly funny with a ton of ridiculous gore, 'The Babysitter' is the perfect horror comedy.

Just in time for Halloween, Netflix is also dropping the second season of 'Stranger Things' on the 27th. The showrunners have said that the follow-up to the hugely successful first series will be even scarier than the first, pulling in more classic horror inspirations.

Over on Stan there's the 'Wolf Creek' series, which sees the return of Mick Taylor, played by horror legend John Jarratt, as he continues his outback reign of terror. Season one follows Eve, the lone survivor of a family of American tourists which was brutally targeted by Mick. Determined to seek revenge, Eve attempts to hunt down Mick before he has a chance to get to her first.

Stan is also adding 12 whole seasons of the series 'Supernatural' from October 20, which follows the Winchester brothers as they hunt all things... well, supernatural. From demons, ghosts monsters and even the devil himself, the brothers travel across America attempting to banish evil back to hell. If you're looking for a new show to binge, catching up on this one will be a big investment but a huge payoff.
