Man Caught With 10kg Of Ice Hidden In Campervan During Breath Test

And his five-year-old son was in the car without a seatbelt on.

A man is behind bars after a random breath test uncovered 10 kilograms of ice hidden in a campervan in the NSW Riverina.

The 42-year-old man and a five-year-old boy without a seatbelt were passengers in the van when it was pulled over by police on the Sturt Highway near Hay in the early hours on August 6.

Police searched the van and found bags containing a crystal substance in a space under the bed as well as $2000 in cash.

The man and the 46-year-old driver were arrested and later released on minor traffic charges.

But a later test of the substance in the bags identified it as methylamphetamine.

Following an investigation, the 42-year-old man was arrested in Yowie Bay on Tuesday.

He was charged with large commercial drug supply after police seized encrypted phones, documents and $140,000 in cash from a home and financial institution.

He is due to front Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday.
