Two 18-year-old Men Charged Over Gang Rape Of 14-Year-Old Girl

The alleged assault happened at a party in Newcastle at the weekend.

Two NSW men who allegedly gang-raped a 14-year-old girl after a party near Newcastle have faced court.

Anthony Carter and Harrison Garner, both 18, were arrested by detectives from the child abuse squad on Sunday afternoon.

The arrests came in the aftermath of a party attended by about 400 revellers, including the young girl, in Bolton Point, on the NSW Central Coast, on Saturday night.

The girl reported the sexual assault after leaving the gathering about 11pm and police quickly set up a crime scene at a separate address as she was examined at John Hunter Hospital.

Carter and Garner each face charges of aggravated sexual assault in company, along with a 17-year-old boy who was arrested on Monday morning.

The pair appeared briefly in Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday before Magistrate Ian Cheetham who continued their bail.

The matters will return to the same court on January 10.

The younger defendant was also granted strict conditional bail and will reappear in a children's court on December 18.

AAP understands at least one of the defendants was known to the victim.

Detectives are still attempting to speak with guests at the party and have urged anyone who was in the Bolton Point area on Saturday night to come forward.
