Hello, breaking important cultural news.

Beyoncé Knowles is joining Disney's 2019 'Lion King' movie.

BEYONCÉ.

In true Queen B fashion she nonchalantly dropped the news via a Facebook post that rounded up her other cast mates including Donald Glover, James Earl Jones, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, John Oliver, Florence Kasumba and Keegan-Michael Key.

Earlier in the year we reported that Disney was desperately hoping Beyoncé would join the cast to play Nala, with the film's director Jon Favreau tipping her as his number one pick for the role. Not much was said after that since Beyoncé gave birth to her twins, Rumi and Sir Carter.

Favreau released a press statement saying, "It is a director's dream to assemble a talented team like this to bring this classic story to life".

Favreau will be using similar techniques to make the film as he did in his 2016 remake of 'The Jungle Book', where he used computer graphics to create a live-action like aesthetic.

Unfortunately we'll have to wait until July 2019 before we get to see Beyoncé and Donald Glover singing 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight', but it's never too early to start lining up for tickets.
