John Oliver Fanboying Over 'Real Life Royalty' Beyoncé Is A True Delight

“Last Week Tonight” host John Oliver may not have much time for Prince Harry’s engagement to Meghan Markle.

But Beyoncé? Well that’s a totally different story.

“That’s real life royalty,” an excited Oliver told Seth Meyers about his “The Lion King” co-star on Wednesday’s broadcast of “Late Night.”

Oliver then imagined how he’d react if he ever met Beyoncé in person:

“I would drop to my fucking knees,” he joked.

The British comedian recalled failing to meet his idol at the Emmys in 2015, and couldn’t contain his jealousy at Meyers’ previous encounter with the star.

Despite appearing in the same movie, Oliver then quipped that he was now “absolutely sure that I will not be allowed to meet her.”

“Especially after this interview,” he told Meyers. “This feels like something her security team should be made aware of in some way. ‘He seems a little highly strung when her name comes up.’”
