This new approach should be genuinely about improving peoples' life outcome and quality of life, not just about saving money. We must stay connected to those who exit the system to make sure they meet key wellbeing indicators and are having better life outcomes.
Aboriginal children make up less than five percent of the general population yet they make up 35 percent of children in out-of-home care. In my home state of WA, it is just over 50 percent. Many people are concerned that there is another stolen or lost generation happening.
