Please Enjoy This Donald Trump Biopic Starring Johnny Depp From Funny Or Die

The only way to cope with the results of the New Hampshire primary.

Johnny Depp, you are now absolved of any responsibility for "Mordecai." We forgive you.

On Wednesday, Funny Or Die released a highly ambitious 50-minute biopic, "The Art of the Deal: The Movie" starring Depp as presidential hopeful Donald Trump without telling anyone. And it's glorious.

Taking its title from Trump's 1987 literary masterpiece of the same name, you could call the project Funny Or Die's "Formation." The comedy website's founder, Adam McKay, and crew worked on the parody for months, enlisting top comedians to populate the characters in Trump's universe and making it the best kept secret in Hollywood.

The cast includes Alfred Molina, Michaela Watkins (Ivana Trump), Jacob Tremblay (?), Patton Oswalt (Merv Griffin), Jack McBrayer, Kristen Schaal, Andy Richter and Alf just to name a few. Director and actor Ron Howard narrates, claiming he found the film, "thought to be lost in the Cybill Shepherd blouse fire of 1989," at a yard sale.

"It was a crazy, completely nuts idea that somehow we pulled off," Adam McKay told the New York Times in an exclusive interview.

"The plan was to move really fast because we thought Trump would go away, as least as a presidential candidate," Funny or Die’s Editor-in-Chief Owen Burke added. "When he bizarrely didn’t go away, we had a little more time. But that meant keeping the secret for longer."

Directed by "Drunk History" creator Jeremy Konner and written by Joe Randazzo, "The Art of the Deal" is the Donald Trump skewering you've been waiting for. The faux-biopic traces Trump's journey from childhood to the Oval Office, featuring an "absolutely bananas" performance by Depp, who is buried under pounds of prosthetics and fake hair.

The film opens with Depp as Trump waxing poetic about his big ambitions when he was just a boy in 1956.

"On my 10th birthday, I saw something that changed my life," Depp begins in a highly impressive Trump accent. "A picture of a kid standing in front of the Taj Mahal. It was gorgeous, it was huge, and it was easily the classiest thing ever built by a Muslim, so I vowed that day to build my own Taj Mahal."

And the rest was history.

Head over to Funny Or Die to watch the full movie.

Editor's note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S.
