Emma Watson Meets The New Hermione, Noma Dumezweni

"Meeting Noma and seeing her on stage was like meeting my older self."

Someone must’ve had a time-turner because the two versions of Hermione Granger just met one another.

Emma Watson, who portrayed the young witch in the “Harry Potter” films, met Noma Dumezweni, who is playing an older version of the same character in the London play, “Harry Potter And The Cursed Child.”

“Meeting Noma and seeing her on stage was like meeting my older self and have her tell me everything was going to be alright, which as you can imagine was immensely comforting (and emotional)!” Watson wrote on Facebook.

She also gave the play a rave review:

I came in with no idea what to expect and it was AMAZING. Some things about the play were, I think, possibly even more beautiful than the films. Having seen it I felt more connected to Hermione and the stories than I have since Deathly Hallows came out, which was such a gift.

The feeling was mutual as Dumezweni took to social media with some praise and pictures of her own:

“Harry Potter And The Cursed Child,” currently in previews, opens on July 30 in London. The much-awaited script will be released in book form the following day.

Watson will next star as Belle in Disney’s upcoming live-action version of “Beauty and the Beast,” set to hit theaters in March.
