Yes, it’s generally safe to hold in your pee, as long as you don’t do it often or for an extended period of time. Our bodies can voluntarily prevent urine from exiting the bladder, but letting it stay there too long ― and doing this too often ― can lead to long-term issues like an increased risk of infection and, in rare cases, can cause the bladder to burst.
