In 1990, Kevin Bacon starred in "Tremors," a campy monster flick that inspired four sequels and a short-lived SyFy television series. 25 years later, he is returning to Perfection Valley for another round of man vs. giant sandworm.

Universal Cable Productions and Blumhouse Productions are developing a "Tremors" TV reboot with a script by "The Secret Circle" creator Andrew Miller. Bacon is set to executive produce and reprise his role of Valentine "Val" McKee, a handyman who saves his small town from man-eating killer worms. Reba McEntire also starred in the original cult classic, but hasn't given any indication that she'll join the TV continuation.

Earlier this year, "The Following" actor expressed interest in revisiting the character.

"It’s a surprisingly good movie, I remember it being a little more sillier than it is," Bacon revealed on an episode of "VICE Talks Film" in August. ‘[Valentine is] the only character that I’ve ever done that I’m interested in revisiting 25 years on."

"Because I look at the guy and he’s stuck in this town with this other guy, he’s got all these dreams, delusions of grandeur, but he’s really sort of stuck," he continued. "When you get to the end of the movie you feel like, you’re kind of hopeful that he does make a movie, and gets the guts to kiss the girl and pulls his shit together."

Someone has clearly been feeling nostalgic lately.

Bacon shared this photo on his Instagram account (Yes, Kevin Bacon has an Instagram) of himself and his wife of 27 years, Kyra Sedgwick, on the "Tremors" set.

"Me and @kyrasedgwick 9 months pregnant 26 years ago on the#Tremors set," he captioned the photo. "Might be time to head back to Perfection."

If that's not enough to get you interested in the reboot, then revel in the campy delight of one of most outrageous scenes from the 1990 original featuring Reba McEntire, a wall of guns and some pissed-off worms.
