Taylor Swift Continues Her Grungy Quest To Bring Back The '90s

We don't know about you, but we're feeling 1992.

Goodbye, crop tops -- and hello, combat boots.

Taylor Swift continued her evolution into either the grungy lost cast member of "Clueless" or Courtney Love circa the Hole days Sunday night in New York City.

The 26-year-old was seen leaving a pre-Met Gala dinner at the home of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, wearing a plaid dress, a leather jacket, a Mark Cross bag and what look an awful lot like heeled Doc Martens, the beloved boots of the '90s.

Swift's style has been somewhat of a spectacle since the moment she debuted new, bleached blonde hair on the May cover of Vogue and then sported an unexpected baggy outfit at Coachella.

Swift is in New York ahead of Monday evening's fashion-focused Met Gala, which she is co-chairing with Wintour, Idris Elba, Karl Lagerfeld, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Miuccia Prada, and Jonathan Ive. We can't wait to see if her new style influences her choice of gown for the event -- this year's theme is "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology."
