Months after Vince Neil and Nicolas Cage brawled outside of a Las Vegas hotel in April, the Mötley Crüe singer has been charged with misdemeanor battery for battering a female fan during the incident, according to TMZ.

The incident occurred outside of the Aria hotel on April 8. A woman reportedly approached Cage for an autograph when Neil grabbed her by the hair and yanked her to the ground. The hotel was alerted afterward and contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at 5:24 p.m., officer Lauren Meltzer told The Huffington Post in April.

TMZ obtained footage of the aftermath of the scuffle in April, where Cage is seen shouting at and restraining Neil after allegedly engaging in a physical fight, saying, “Fuck you, man, stop this shit now.” The media outlet also claims the hotel possesses surveillance video of Neil hitting the female fan, although it has not published any of it.

Meltzer told The Huffington Post in April that that Neil had been cited at the scene for misdemeanor battery, which means that the singer promised to appear in court at a later time. Rolling Stone reports that Neil is due in court on July 27 and could face up to six months of prison time.

The Huffington Post has reached out to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Neil’s representation and will update this post accordingly.
