The "Joker" star and Rooney Mara have welcomed their first child together.
After winning Best Actor for "Joker," Phoenix touched on animal rights, cancel culture and personal growth in his acceptance speech.
"Joker" leads the nominations, which virtually ignored female directors and actors of color in major categories.
