As Mental Health Week draws to a close it's worth taking a look back at the stories people have shared this week.

We've come a long way in the way we talk about mental health. Many taboos have been broken down and the acceptance that mental health is really just a "health" issue has grown.

But we haven't come so far that it's easy for people to share their challenges. The people who do choose to share are doing the rest of us a great service. The more our stories are told the better.

Emily Skye told hers to HuffPost Australia this week. As success stories go Skye looks the ticket. With more than 5 million Facebook followers and a million Instagram fans her exercise videos are a phenomenon.

What those millions of fans may not have known was what motivated Skye to become such a fitness devotee. You can watch her interview with our lifestyle editor Leigh Campbell here.

Leigh has also faced her own mental health hurdles along the way. She's spent years working out the best ways to stay on track and she writes about what works for her here.

Michael Carr-Gregg talked us through the difference between typical teenage angst and mental illness. We all need to keep a close eye on the teens in our lives.

For the rest of our Mental Health Week stories go to our Headstart section.

And for a one-minute holiday watch this video of tiny ballet dancers busting their moves on the Opera House forecourt.
