The Mash-up That Brought Madonna And Led Zeppelin Together

The Music Mash-up Bringing Madonna And Led Zeppelin Together - 'Justify A Whole Lotta Love'

A few days after Aussie mashup producer Wax Audio released this pairing of Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love with Madonna's Justify My Love, The Material Girl surprised her fans by posting an Instagram video of herself playing the iconic Zeppelin' riff on a flying V guitar.

This quickly led to speculation Madge was preparing a live version of the mashup for her upcoming Rebel Heart tour.

The guitar god Jimmy Page himself, who penned the riff back in 1970, recently spoke about the mashup in an interview with the Irish Times. He then shared the video as a birthday message to Madge.

And the best part is, the producer behind Wax Audio is HuffPost Australia's very own video editor, Tom Compagnoni, who creates these superb music and video mixes in his own time and simply for the pure joy of it.

Compagnoni describes the video as "two iconic songs about physical love, that early`70s male perspective paired with the early `90s post-feminist Madonna version - it's a great call and response".

Fair to say we're feeling a whole lotta love for this epic mashup.
