Brisbane model Madeline Stuart has made her debut catwalk appearance at the prestigious New York Fashion Week.

Walking for FTL Moda, 18-year-old Stuart -- who has Down syndrome -- joined a number of other disabled models from around the world to tread the runway at Vanderbilt Hall.

An understandably excited Stuart has been documenting her experience -- including the 28 hour flight -- via her Instagram account. She has modelled both resort wear and couture.
