Hugh Jackman Mistook Young Aussie Of The Year... For A Waiter

Hugh Jackman got more than he bargained for after ordering a drink at Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's '20/20 Summit' in 2008.

Watch as Jackman explains to Late Show Host Stephen Colbert how meeting Hugh Evans, former Young Australian of the Year, and now CEO of Global Citizen, put him on a path to fighting world poverty.

Global Citizen Festival is being held in New York's Central Park on Saturday, to coincide with the United Nations General Assembly week as world leaders come together to agree upon a new set of global goals for sustainable development.

Hugh Evans recently told Huffington Post Australia "all of our work is focused on mobilising our now six million members around the world to encourage world leaders to do the right thing when it comes to the 1.2 billion people on this planet who live in extreme poverty."

"We've demonstrated through the movement that change is possible," he said.
