New Online Play-Tool iPet Companion Lets People Interact With Kittens Over The Internet

All Is Well In The World. You Can Now Play With Kittens Over The Internet

Rejoice! Newly-launched interactive technology now lets people all over the world play with the cutest kittens in America, from the comfort of their own homes.

iPet Companion is a new tool designed to help people better interact with abandoned animals who are awaiting adoption.

The technology involves a seemingly simple set-up including a webcam and three buttons letting viewers control different toys set up in the shelter, all at the press of a few keys on their laptops.

The dashboard also allows you to zoom in and out and take pictures of the kitten. Sigh.

The cat who inspired this charming technology, is called Spot. His owner happened to be an engineer who was working on robotically-controlled arm that kept catching Spot's attention.

Working with three other colleagues, Spot's owner thought how remote-controlled toys and live streaming could be the perfect match.

Across the U.S., 13 shelters have already adopted the technology.

Unsurprisingly, the system has proved to be quite popular and you'll have to spent a significant amount of time waiting your turn.

However, all good things comes to those who wait, so it's time well-spent. Meanwhile, here are some more cute kittens to keep us happy.
